Saville Row toff Phileas Fogg (David Niven) attempts to circumnavigate the globe in 80 days, accompanied by his valet Passepartout (Cantinflas), to win a wager. He passes through 16 countries on eight modes of transport and saves the beautiful Indian maharani Aouda (Shirley MacLaine) en route.
Based on the 1872 novel by Jules Verne, this star-studded travel romp mixes adventure, spectacle and comedy and won the Oscar for Best Picture.
