Be uplifted and entertained, when Canberra blues duo Divine Devilles hit the lakeside stage, with their cracking rhythm section, for Tuggeranong Arts Centre’s monthly after work jazz program.

Ali and DJ present original songs – mostly autobiographical, often hilarious, sometimes a bit naughty, and always true stories. Sharing their tales of hard luck and heartbreak, this powerhouse and vivacious Blues duo have been uplifting and entertaining audiences for over a decade, with their award-winning vocals, keys and blues-harp, together with their cracking rhythm section.

Multi-award-winning blue artist, Ali Penney (vocal, keys) has played every major Blues and Jazz festival across Australasia. She is the 2024 winner of Sydney Blues Society’s Favourite Keyboard Player award and six-time Australian Blues Music Chain Award recipient. She represented Sydney in The International Blues Challenge in Memphis and is among a strong league of women in the Australian Blues scene.

Dorothy-Jane “DJ” Gosper (vocal, blues-harps) has been an integral contributor to the heart and soul of the Canberra music scene for over thirty years and the recipient of numerous local music awards. She has released ten albums and three EP’s; toured extensively throughout Australasia; and performed with many top Blues, Jazz and Roots acts including KarismaKatz, The Blues Cowgirls and Hot Flush Blues Band.

Ali and DJ are living with Stage 4 cancer and continue to uplift audiences with their grit, humour and grace.
