With the 2026 Canberra Festival of Speed fast approaching, Thoroughbred Park will play host to a special Legends of Motorsport Dinner to be held on the Saturday evening of the Festival (Saturday, 31 January 2026).

Canberra Festival of Speed ambassador and icon of Australian motorsport, John Bowe will be the headline guest, joined by current Supercars Championship drivers and proud Canberra natives Cam Hill and Zach Bates for an evening of sharing experiences across more than half a century in Australian motorsport.

The Legends of Motorsport Dinner will include a two-course dinner and drinks on consumption, with Dinner tickets available via the link below. Please note that Legends of Motorsport tickets do not include entry into the Festival which must be purchased separately.

Since his debut in an Elfin 500 Formula Vee in 1971, John Bowe has amassed two Bathurst 1000 victories, two Bathurst 12 hour wins and one Eastern Creek 12 Hour triumph, and counts the 1995 Australian Touring Car Championship among a total of ten Australian championship victories.

John has a long-standing reputation as The Drivers’ Driver, having been competitive in every category he’s competed in, with over 1250 career starts, more than 250 race wins, in excess of 570 podiums, 118 pole positions, and 270 fastest race laps.

Attendees of the Dinner will find John to be engaging, honest, charming with his candid nature and very grounded attitude despite his status.

Cam Hill and Zach Bates are both Canberra born and bred, and 2026 will mark the first time the nation’s capital will have two of its own represented full-time in the Supercars Championship.
