Explore the fascinating world of eco-dyeing in this 6-week short course at Tuggeranong Arts Centre.
Textile artist Pinal Maniar will guide you through the process of dyeing fabric and paper using natural materials like leaves and flowers.
Various techniques will be explored from week- to-week, ranging from the use of plants in dyeing, setting up an ink bath and stitching patterns. No experience is required and all materials will be provided.
About Pinal Maniar
Pinal Maniar, with fine art textiles qualifications and years of textile industry experience, now practices as an independent studio artist and has a special interest in embroidery. She moved from the USA to Australia and established Idyl Ink, a design label that enables her to combine the traditional art of natural dyeing, eco-printing, Shibori, and hand block printing process.
