Get surprised by all the smart ways sustainable building and design can deliver – for your home, for your wellbeing, and for your community. Get inspired and learn about sustainability solutions for your own home – from smart tech and electrification to sustainable living tips and more.

Activities:

  • Hear from Peter Maddison (Grand Designs Australia), Craig Reucassel (ABC’s War On Waste / The Chaser) and other special guest speakers on sustainable building and everyday life hacks
  • Lish Fejer (Fix-it-chicks) will talk about the smart and simple ways to be more sustainable by making small, easy choices in everyday living.
  • Get connected with our sustainability partners like Common Sense Sustainability, ACT Government’s Climate, Energy and Water teams, ACT No Waste, SEE Change, PowerHaus, and more
  • Meet at the Sustainacube and explore it in your way to get informed, inspired, innovate and initiate change
  • Fun activities running all day for the kids, like an archaeological dig, yarn-stick sessions, face painting, and sustainable giveaways as well
  • Take a guided tour of SLA’s three sustainable homes
  • Participate in an induction cooking demonstration
  • Bus tours of Suburban Land Agency’s sustainable homes in North Wright
  • Learn about how to create your own climate-wise garden
  • Electric fire-truck demonstration
  • Live music, food trucks, and plenty of activities to keep you entertained all day
