Due to popular demand, after a sold out season last year, the Art & Action school holiday program is now running for two days in the upcoming April holidays. Bookings are now open for two days in the first week of the Easter break. The program offers an action-packed day of visual and performing arts, guided by a team of professional artists, musicians, dancers, and actors. It’s a chance for young ones to show off their creativity and try a range of different activities. Parent are encouraged to book early.
Everyone starts the day playing drama games before breaking into smaller classes based on age. Participants will be introduced to fun materials such as fabric, paint, and collage to create amazing artworks! They’ll learn a Hip Hop dance routine with TAC’s Fresh Funk tutors, and after lunch, musicians Katie and Jess Cole will lead a collaborative music making music session.
Participants need to bring recess, lunch and a water bottle, wear enclosed shoes and clothing suitable for art and movement. Parents need to check in with their child at reception on arrival each day.

We’ve also got songwriting happening in the school holidays. Presented in conjunction with the ANU Community Music Centre, in this workshop, participants will spend a day learning the basics of Song writing with Sophie Edwards. The song writing workshop is for teens aged 12 – 18 wanting to spend a day learning the basics of song writing, in a supportive and inclusive environment, with award-winning songwriter Sophie Edwards. The workshop will be devoted to inspiring creative practice from everyday experiences, showing that anything can be transformed into a song.

Cost: $10 + booking fee. Bookings essential.
