Ever been curious about how an actor brings a play from page to stage? There’s a lot more to it than learning the lines! Drop by for this free event to get a taste of this exciting new work, and gain a rare insight into the actor’s craft from this highly-accomplished international artist.
This open rehearsal offers an opportunity to observe Christopher Samuel Carroll, Artist in Residence at Belconnen Arts Centre for January 2017, in rehearsal for his one-man show, Paradise Lost. Christopher will talk-through and give practical demonstrations of some of the techniques used in the creation of the piece, combining playful, exploratory physical improvisation with the demands of a highly-lyrical 17th century text. The open rehearsal will include the performance of a short excerpt of the work-in-progress.
The completed performance of Paradise Lost will play at Belconnen Arts Centre from the 26 – 28 January, before touring to Fringe World Festival in Perth, and the Adelaide Fringe in February 2017.
