ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Higgins this evening (Saturday, July 30).
Around 7.30pm, a man entered the Higgins supermarket and threatened the cashier with a knife, demanding money. He then fled on foot with a sum of cash. No-one was injured during the offence.
General Duties patrols, Specialist Response and Security members and the K9 team attended and a search was conducted of the area but failed to locate the offender.
The offender was described as around 5’9” (175cm) tall, of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, around 20 years old, with a chubby build. He was dressed all in black clothing.
