ACT Rural Fire Service is continuing to battle a 24-hectare fire near Corin Dam this morning and has successfully held containment lines around the blaze.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said the bushfire alert and warning level for this fire remains advice and there is currently no threat to property.
Five crews are mopping up hot spots and strengthening containment lines with help from above, with up to four helicopters waterbombing the fire. Around 30 firefighters and four aircraft held the containment lines along the South Eastern edge of the fire front overnight.
Firefighters have been battling the bush fire, which is burning at Square Rock east of Corin Dam, since Sunday afternoon (27 January). It is believed the fire was caused by a lightning strike.
