Social Darwinism is an idea that was developed well after Darwin himself died. Eugenics is a very interesting concept.

Let’s see, law and order and courts savings, medical savings and a boost to productivity. And that’s just for starters.

A win for governmental purse strings in these constrained fiscal times.

And don’t trot out that old chestnut where society would go to hell in a hand basket. People are no more likely to touch the stuff if regulation/legalised than they ever were. I’ve never been compelled despite many opportunities.

It’s very common. My point – which another poster missed completely – is that the investigation of cannabis related offences generally isn’t that time consuming or expensive, whereas much lesser crimes such as petrol thefts are.

That heli can’t be cheap to run.

Petrol drive-offs can easliy by prevented by re-introducing “pay in advance” which worked well in the 1970’s.

Yes. Preventable by petrol station owners having CCTV cameras that actually work to assist police in identifying the driver and the vehicle. Also, if the offenders car had stolen number plates (which is the norm) what exactly do you expect the police to do ?

To compare petrol drive-offs to the extensive destruction of lives and families by drugs is simply moronic.
