Gas leak on Canberra Avenue

ACT Fire & Rescue are currently investigating reports of a gas leak in an apartment on Canberra Avenue, Griffith.

Currently on scene are two fire pumpers, Hazardous Materials support unit, Breathing Apparatus support and a Command vehicle.

Firefighters have gained access to the apartment. No occupants currently inside.

ACT Fire & Rescue will conduct ventilation of the room to investigate the cause of the gas leak.

Update to follow.

11:14am Sunday 24 June 2012 – Update on report of gas leak

ACT Fire & Rescue have isolated the source of the gas leak and have handed the incident over to the apartments body corporate for further action.
