Yeah, there’s lots of self-teaching resources available, but a good teacher will ensure that you develop and maintain good technique, which is the solid foundation for being a decent musician. Without a decent technical foundation, learning will take much longer and you’ll end up with bad habits that will plague your playing.

Find any song you like, and there are no shortage of teachers. Keep looking until you find what you’re after.
