Have been away from Canberra a little while but went to fill up on my return yesterday at the local Shell. It was not until I left that I noticed the price in the red LED lights is the price of the discounted ethanol blend where as I expected it to be the price of discounted ‘normal’ unleaded (which I use). Has this always been the case? Have they changed the signs when I was not looking? And if they have changed them is this just a marketing ploy to get people in the driveway as ethanol blend is already cheaper then the unleaded price anyway?
