UPDATE, Wednesday: The driver who was the subject of an interstate manhunt has been arrested.
Adam Sosnowski has been located and charged with driving offences, an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
He is scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning (18 June).
TUESDAY: Police have launched an interstate manhunt for a driver alleged to have fled the scene of a traffic stop.
An ACT Policing spokesperson alleged 49-year-old man Adam Sosnowski was involved in a traffic stop near Murrumbateman in NSW on Tuesday morning (17 June) when he fled from police.
The vehicle he was travelling in, a 2016 blue Subaru Forester with NSW registration DDH32T, was seen travelling at high speeds in the ACT and was last seen in Tharwa.
This afternoon, police said he may be in the Cooma area of southern NSW.
Police described Mr Sosnowski as Caucasian in appearance with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans.
“Members of the public are urged not to approach Mr Sosnowski, but to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444 to report any information regarding his whereabouts,” the police spokesperson said.
