The ABC reports that Canberra Raiders’ coach David Furner has been confirmed as the long term coach of the team:
The general manager of the Raiders Group, Simon Hawkins, said the board was keen to lock up Furner for the long-term.
“He had a couple of seasons to go on his existing contract but the board was keen to see him stay and become a long-term coach of the Raiders,” Hawkins said.
“He was keen for the same thing, so it was quite an easy transaction in the end.”
