Well according to the bureau it’s 17 degrees out there and, wait for it, getting down to 6 tonight.
One hell of a summer we’re having.

Anybody see frost out in the boondocks ?
Saw a FB post this morning reporting frost near Gundaroo.
It is 7am – used the doona last night – well wrapped up plus woolie sox now.
A quick look around on the BoM website shows;
3 degrees at the Airport,
but Goulburn AP was 0.3 at 6am.
Anybody see frost out in the boondocks ?
-0.3 at Mount Ginini which maxed yesterday afternoon at about 4 deg. Would have been bracing up there with wind gusts over 70kmh.
I cant believe how fickle some of you people are, heaters? Electric Blankets? Cmon, its not THAT cold.
Waking up at 3am because you need to turn the heater on sucks.
I still remember the year that it snowed in Canberra on Xmas day, 1994 I believe.

It’s so cold because Jeff Manny has switched on all his air-conditioners at once and set them to 18 degrees; and he won’t turn them off until the 3 000 000 date-eating, mutant Afghanis who grounded QANTAS surrender themselves to Alan Joyce.
haha I lol’d
pretty crook old summer so far, lasted what – all of 4 or 5 days since NYD ?
Have not had the electric blanket on in both December and January for many many years.

And you all scoffed when Katie told you that the plastic bag ban would end global warming.
Who’s laughing now?
I hate the hot weather … I dread summer like I dread needles and old age. So I be lovin’ the cool. I vote every summer be like this! 😉

Last week we were at the beach trying not to be sunburnt, drinking fresh mango juice. And Batemans Bay was about reportedly 22 celsius today. Canberra can be foul. We’re all crazy, huddled in our silly little offices looking out at December blizzards and turning the ducted heating back on as if we didn’t already pay a despot’s ransom over bloody everlasting frost-bitten winter.
So summer is not working very well for me, thank you so much for asking. I’m just off to evict a moth from a beanie.
And all the children (one in my case) are stuck at home vegetating in front of their computers because it’s too cold to do anything except go the the caf? and you can only do that once a day with a child otherwise it’s cruel, and their mothers who aren’t off in some snug smug little office (see above) are worried that they should make them go outside anyway because isn’t obesity a big problem (hah hah) and they, the kids, had a Coke at the caf?, but they (the mothers) are trying to finish a poem about Christmas set on the beach and it’s too cold to remember what that was like and what the sand felt like under your feet when you’re wearing ug boots, is that how you spell that?, and so they’re wasting time as usual submitting annoying posts to the Riot Act.
And they just edited their comment and they know the accents on cafe will be stuffed so why oh why do they even bother? So they don’t.
I for one am majorly peed off with that little La Nina b!tch. I don’t even care if it’s not her fault. I need a scapegoat to name and shame for this complete and utter failure of a summer.
Am trying to motivate myself to rug up and go walk the dog…
Upside is that I have had some lovely roast dinners lately. I don’t think I had ever used my oven in January before.

Was down to 12c a little while ago, and what we’re getting is blizzards, just not cold enough down here for the snow to have survived. It’s that ball of cold air down under the continent, but once it’s passed we’ll return to your usual programming quick enough. There’s a 29c popping into the forecast next week already.
More rain would be good…
Have just come back from the US where the coolest temps were -11 overnight and -3ish during the day.
17 is awesome!
