There’s another one out near Eagle Hawk on the Federal Highway. From memory it’s a Steve Whan too. ACT govt should rip them down and send these ar$eclowns the bill for doing so.
Perhaps that’s because Eagle Hawk is in NSW Felix??
Evan: I wouldn’t have thought many of them would work in Gungahlin, to justify them being on Horse Park Drive. But anyway, there are laws against this sort of thing in the ACT, and I think it always something about a candidate/incumbent’s regard for the law when they breach said requirements.
Housebound: wouldn’t mind betting that he didn’t want the ALP logo on there at all!
The signs are targetting the (literally) thousands of NSW dwellers who commute into Canberra every day to work (or shop or do other city things). Monaro is the electorate (NSW State electorate) and takes in the area to the east and south of the ACT. It will probably go back to the Nationals this election (it seems to have been more a national electorate than labor historically). Whan has done a decent job, but his horrible government will drag him down. Barilaro is giving a good account of himself and also sticking to the law in how his signs are displayed.
I dont know the rules, but would it be plausible that the laws only apply to ACT, or the state/territory you’re going for?
Reminds me of the Make Riot Act rich Bill: http://region.com.au/the-bill-poster-laws-hit-a-snag/10766
Unless something is actively done about it (fines/penalties), people will just keep breaking the law and apologising.

Perhaps his supporters just don’t know the difference between NSW & ACT? seems many people don’t.
yeah, they have suddenly appeared on the roads from Qbn and NSW into Canberra. Very clever really, drivers can admire them while they are at a standstill during rush hour, and reflect on how Steve Whan appears to have done nothing about this situation. John Barilaro posters appeared last week, but they all appear to be on private property.
