ACT Policing has exposed two illegal brothels operating within Holder and Lyons.
Acting on information received via the Crime Stoppers web site police executed search warrants on two premises in Holder and Lyons.
Around 4.15pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday, July 11) ACT Policing executed simultaneous search warrants at both residences with the assistance of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
During the warrants, Police seized an estimated $25 000 in stolen property.
Three persons were taken into custody by Immigration Officials for breaching visa conditions. They were subsequently conveyed to the Villawood Detention Centre.
The occupant of the Lyons residence will be summonsed to appear in Court on charges related to running an illegal brothel and stolen property.
