It was planned – basically you open the shutter when you see the squib go up, and release just before it all disappears.

Are all these piccies pure happenstance or do you plan these out?

johnboy, I’m no visual expert, but I’m thinking there is enough quality here for a RiotACT calendar. It’s an advert at a nominal cost to pay site upkeep bills. Given that contributors are happy to permit use for no royalties in the spirit of supporting the site.

It’s a marvellous picture.

I need to add a speech bubble from my house. The wonderdog, Queen Dog-Dog Nattie the 1st, saying “Woof Woof Woof Woof”.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen a picture of Canberra quite like that one before, and the fireworks do look very special when paused from above.
