Hmm not quite the same thing as a long departed american battleship famed for it’s gluttony.

Wait, I had a memory flash. I’m sure I read somewhere earlier in the year that Bosom Buddies is having some kind of significant anniversary this year that might just be 10 years. After a google search I found their site http://www.bosombuddies.com.au/index.htm and the logo is remeniscent of the flower bed although the site doesn’t seem to have been updated in years, so who knows if it’s them or not.

Well the USS Maine was retrospectively re-classified as BB10 when the USN brought in its numbering system.

Famed for her extraordinarily heavy coal consumption I can’t imagine why they’d be paying to publicise it on Northbourne.

I much prefered the ABC logo at that intersection. I’m just going to assume that “BB 10” is another banana wearing pyjamas, although Google tells me it might be a battleship, do we have battleship shops in Canberra?

Speaking of our gorgeous flowerbeds, does anyone know what the one on Northbourne near Dickson is supposed to say?
having spent a lot of time looking at it while avoiding the window-washer at those lights, I eventually decided it said “BB 10”, but buggered if I know what that means.
