ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated robbery in Isabella Plains this afternoon (Thursday, May 31).
About 1.20pm a man entered the IGA Supermarket at the Isabella Plains Shopping Centre on Arakoon Crescent. The man approached a staff member and threatened her with a knife, demanding she give him the cash from the till.
When another staff member approached the man, he ran from the store.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, and around 6’ (183cm) tall. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and gloves. He had a white bandanna covering his face.
Police are urging anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
