According to FaceBook tomorrow is Brumby Jack’s birthday.
So he really is a horse huh?

Ahhh. The fabric equine manufactured to enhance our rugby pleasure. A halfway decent curtain raiser would have been better. Bring back the choir.
I can recall some of the speculation about the name for the beast, when it was a mere notion, a textile twinkle in Brumbies Rugby’s eye. “Craig” or “Sweeney” would have recognised one of the great men of ACT rugby, a giant of a lock whose nickname (bestowed for reasons of which I am not aware) was “Horse”. The imaginative “Horse” was also suggested, though I favoured the slightly more subtle “Hung”. Instead, the Brumbies went for the plastic toddler spoon borrowed from childrens’ TV. My googling reveals that there was also a greyhound of the same name, and a character in a forgotten gay porn movie (Jackaroos”) from 1991.
