This is all very interesting. Where is the shot of the Mt Stromlo building with all those mercs in the car park? What about the gloriuos restaraunt where you can feed your face for $5.
As ACTEWAGL heads up for its next $350,000 plus staff party (yep that’s not a typo) isn’t it about time the whole issue of this organisation of infrastructure holders got back to what it is within its capacity to do? That is, own property.
The shame of it is that these cowboys (ACTEW Corporation) who couldn’t even get their numbers right on the cost of the dam should have contracted out this entire thing to a mining services company who would probably have had it finshed by now instead of some half baked joint venture with an engineering company where people just like to play with things that make low pitched noises and do bad things to rocks. But that wouldn’t justify some of those stratospheric salaries in ACTEW and ACTEWAGL’s water area that are completely opaque to the burghers of Canberra. Now would it?
It’s just sad.
