ACT Policing have arrested two men after a brief police pursuit in Kambah yesterday, (Thursday, 5 April).
About 4.22pm police attempted to stop a vehicle which was travelling at 126 km on O’Halloran Circuit Kambah. The vehicle failed to stop, driving around police and a pursuit was initiated.
The vehicle travelled east across Drakeford Drive onto Summerland Court where a speed in excess of 130km in a 60 km zone was detected.
The pursuit was terminated within 20 seconds by police.
Tuggeranong patrols attended the immediate area and located three males who were seen fleeing on foot who were later identified as the occupants of the vehicle. The three men were taken to Tuggeranong Police Station.
The driver was charged with various offences including Furious/Dangerous/Reckless driving, Driving Unlicensed, and Possess Drug of Dependence, he has been released on watch house bail and will appear in ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday, 16 April.
