The National Capital Authority brings word that they’re not done with buggering around on Kings Avenue:

Northbound lanes on Kings Avenue bridge will be restricted to one lane periodically for the next two to three weeks, to complete work on the adjacent footpath.

The temporary lane closures are scheduled:

— From 7am, Friday 18 November to 7am, Monday 21 November
— From 7am, Friday 25 November to 7am, Monday 28 November

The 150 metre footpath from the Russell side of Kings Avenue bridge, to the path that ramps down to the National Carillon, will be replaced during this period.

NCA chief executive, Gary Rake, said traffic will be disrupted for a portion of the works.

“This section of footpath forms part of the popular pedestrian and cyclist route around Lake Burley Griffin. Users will be diverted onto Kings Avenue while the concrete on the new footpath sets,” said Mr Rake.
