It wont take them long to get the final layer of road surface down, so no doubt all the bumps etc will be fine. But do agree that some of the road geometry is a little hows your father. but who knows what we will be left with after they put the final road markings down.

Hang on – it isn’t ready to open! There are serious bumps on the southbound lane of the overpass at the lights that will take more than a couple of weeks to fix. The merge arrangements if you turn left off King’s Ave heading south are also a mess. Whoever designed that merge lane had no idea how awkward it is to merge two similar-sized traffic flows. Small flow merging into heavy flow works fine (such as Yarralumla/Deakin overpass turnoff merging with traffic on Adelaide Avenue heading toward APH). Not nearly enough “merge-lane distance” has been allowed.
Sorry, meant NORTH in both cases. Didn’t know I was direcitonally dyslexic!

Well I’m not attending if Johnboy keeps misusing apostrophes like that. Hmph.
Simon Crean! How many tickets can I get?
But seriously, have you noticed that the underpass lanes are quite close together? Going towards the airport and trying to exit down Kings Avenue which means that you’ve got swing right just to stay on the road, then left to get on the exit ramp, then cut across merging traffic to get into the right turning lane. I’m sure Parks Way will now have to be realigned after inevitably numerous accidents.
How hard is it to build a straight road!
Obviously not a work of art.
We are NEVER invited to the opening/unmasking of those.
