Police are investigating two separate incidents in which knife-wielding youths are alleged to have threatened different men in the Tuggeranong region, robbing one and assaulting the other.

In the first incident, a man was approached on Newman Morris Circuit in Oxley by a male teenager and a younger boy at about 3:45 pm on Monday (26 May), an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

The pair allegedly threatened him with a knife before he handed over money and his AirPod earphones.

The second incident occurred shortly afterwards and about 2 km from the location of the first.

At about 4 pm, a man was sitting at a bus stop on Comrie Street near the Erindale shops when he was approached by two boys riding an electric scooter who asked to borrow his phone.

After he declined, they allegedly threatened him with knives, one being a kitchen knife and the other a knife in a sheath, and assaulted him.

The man was later taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the two youths in the second incident matched the description of the pair in the first incident.

The police spokesperson said officers were seeking information relating to the incidents, including anyone who has dashcam footage from the Oxley and Erindale area between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm, or witnesses who have not yet spoken to them.
