Went to peats ridge festival in the glenworth valley – was f-ing awesome! Never doing NYE’s in Canberra again after last years lame outing, the best thing to do for NYE’s in Canberra is be anywhere but Canberra 😛
Stayed in and watched the telly. Including porno style ads after about 11.00. Great family entertainment. Not.
We went out west for our holidays, and although there were no big gatherings, we had fun waiting up for midnight… which was unsuccessful; by 11pm we couln’t wait any longer and we went outside and counted down very loudly 55 minutes early to see if the rest of the caravan park would react… they didn’t, and we went to bed at 11:30.
I didn’t go out at all – I don’t like large groups of people, I don’t feel safe. I listened to a party mix of songs streaming over the Net from a mate on Facebook and had an early night. Very 2010 I thought . . .
My pick was the CMC Pyjamanalia festival (on now, 12pm today to 12pm tomorrow) but it’s going to rain and I don’t want to die of pneumonia.
The usual is on in the city: fireworks (9pm and 12am) in Commonwealth Park, probably-terrible music in Civic.
