A man has been told to face court after he allegedly committed an indecent act in a Canberra library this week.

Officers were called to Gungahlin Library, which is on Hibberson Street in Gungahlin, at about 1:30 pm on Tuesday (8 April) after hearing a man allegedly committed an indecent act in the public facility.

Police spoke to staff and witnesses, then arrested a 48-year-old man from Ngunnawal in the Gungahlin shopping centre a short time later, an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
