Man steals cash register from Oaks Estate liquor store

ACT Policing has released images of a man armed with a hammer who robbed the Vintage Cellars liquor store in Oaks Estate, of its cash register on Friday (23 March 2018).

Police said about 1.50 pm, a man entered the Vintage Cellars in McEwan Avenue carrying a small black bag and a claw hammer, and threatened staff with the hammer before fleeing the premises on foot with the cash register in the direction of Queanbeyan Train Station.

The man leaves with the cash register.

The man is described as wearing a grey coloured hoodie, light coloured pants, mirrored glasses, black shoes with white soles and dark gloves.

No-one was injured during this incident.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information or dash-cam footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
