would be interested to know the legality or otherwise of flying that close to a registered aircraft (in this case the balloon) at 1:30ish

Very cool. I’ve always wanted to do hang gliding. From what I saw it can be pretty cheap as well. Only a few thousand for a hang glider.

KB1971, I thought us MTBers relied heavily on equipment reliability for our safety, that takes it to another level! There’s no easing your way into that sport, is there? It’s all or nothing right from the first attempt.

This is one of the things I will never do; watching the video makes me feel just a little ill.

Now that is cool. People tell me I ma mad for riding MTB on Mt Stromlo but you know, if I die doing it I dies doing something I love.

You have to live your life & that looks like the bomb. I would love to give it a go.

That was really, really cool stuff! I had no idea that hand gliders could be towed up by planes and ultralights. I also had no idea that with a good enough head wind, you could just stand still and take off!

The shots from the coast (around Stanwell Park?) were beautiful.
