A 56-year-old woman has been arrested and charged over the shooting yesterday in McKellar.
Around 11.30 am yesterday, police were called to Tipping Place after reports of a firearm being discharged. They arrived to find an injured 39-year-old man outside the home.
The man was conveyed to The Canberra Hospital with minor injuries and released later that day.
A rifle was recovered from the scene and is undergoing forensic analysis.
The woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with discharging a firearm endangering life and unauthorised possession/use of a firearm.
Police will be opposing bail.
