Mechanic recommendation - A&D under new ownership

A&D Automotive has changed hands so it was with a bit of trepidation that I booked in with the new guys there, with former owner Darren a difficult act to follow. (A&D is at 301 Canberra Ave Fyshwick next to the music shop). I didn’t have time to clean my car and it was dusty on the outside and embarrassingly messy inside. When I picked it up it was gleaming outside and vacuumed thoroughly inside – as good a job as you’ll get in the Braddon detailers. At no extra cost. Plus they have a Corolla Seca courtesy car available if you book far enough in advance – they just ask that you put $5 or $10 in petrol into it. With new owner Jeff this small outfit is really worth your patronage, folks! Darren was a Subaru mechanic, but I think they do all cars, based on the clients’ cars waiting in the carpark.

Went to Jeff recently, he was definitely value for money. So much so that I posted a review on Google, and wrote another riotact post!

Good IT Guys and Mechanics are rare to come back. Had my car being serviced by Adrian at http://www.ultimatetunes.com.au till i moved to Gunghalin.

Would love to give them a try if they this side of the town.

Looks as though they aren’t on your side of town – but the courtesy car is a pretty big hook for my patronage!

I used their online booking form just before Christmas and I’m not sure whether it worked though (forgot about the online bit and phoned them in the new year) – must remember to let them know to check whether it’s faulty!

Darren serviced my cars for over twenty years. He’s going to be a tough act to follow. A very skilled mechanic and the nicest guy you’ve ever met. I’ve only been out to A&D once since he left since I now live on the other side of town. It’s nice to hear they are doing well.
