The ABC’s got a lengthy profile online about Canberra’s burrito king, Sam Prince of Zambrero fame.
It’s in anticipation of an appearance on Stateline tonight.

I saw the piece on Stateline, it was very focused on his two charitable ventures – providing schools and healthcare in Sri Lanka, and trying to eradicate scabies from Australia by working with Aboriginal communities where there is a high prevalence. I thought it was a really inspiring an motivating story, especially that with his Australian healthcare charity he is trying to throw all his efforts into success in one thing than spread too thin over many problems at once.
Sam Prince was the intern who cared for my partner when she had bowel cancer a few years ago. I can testify that he is a genuine, caring, wonderful person. We felt very comfortable that he was taking the very best care of her, and we’re very grateful to him. I didn’t know about his other ventures, but I’m so pleased to see him getting some recognition…a terrific person.

I think this is the first time I’ve wanted to read a more elaborate post from Skidbladnir. C’mon then, spill the beans.
It sounds like Sam is going to have a good personal review from Stateline, so I’ll let him have his day of compliments and just say he’s an intelligent owner of a good business, giving back to community, and has excellent image management.
If he gets newsworthy again down the track, since the stories aren’t mine to tell, I’ll see if I can convince a few people who knew him better to share their Stories of Sam.
PS: Are you calling me verbose?

My name is not a verb…
You want to know who I what?
I think it’s good that he’s making an effort to do something positive with his profits. If I ever met him, I’d love to suggest some improvements to his product. I think with a little bit of tweaking it could be great.
I really want to know who skidbladnir. I know he’s my generation and I have had conversations with them in real life(based on other posts in other topics). And I have the same forum name here as other forums so they most likely know who I am.
I think this is the first time I’ve wanted to read a more elaborate post from Skidbladnir. C’mon then, spill the beans (not meant to be a burrito-related pun).
Sure he’s a doctor, the food is good and he runs a charity. He’s very good at image management…
