Motorcyclist seriously injured in Barton collision

A 21-year-old man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition following a two-vehicle collision in Barton.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Wentworth Avenue and Brisbane Avenue at 10:40 this morning (29 April) after reports of an accident between a green and black Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a blue Toyota RAV4.

The male motorcyclist was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The 34-year-old female driver of the Toyota was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident and is urging anyone who witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the accident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 8035497.
