Any constructive comments going to be put here?
Recognition of Australia’s beginnings in recent history where the entire non indigenous population stems from immigration of one sort or another: that would be good.
A proper Prime Minister’s residence. Good.
Instead of whining and carping, folks might recognise they live in the Nation’s capital, and should be talking it up, not denigrating efforts to move it forward.
Thank you.
I put in a submission suggesting that the Eastern end of Carruthers St in Hughes could be a little diplomatic enclave – very close to the existing Embassies and High Commissions of West Deakin and no need to touch any of Stirling Ridge.
I’m a real critic of Gary Rake and the NCA, but 2 of these 3 draft amendments are very good. The first one, inter alia, sets aside land for a potential new PM’s lodge. We desperately need this and should be the next major public building project. So much better than the ASIO disgrace.
And the second draft amendment finally puts the stupid and ill-fated immigration bridge out of its misery.
All we need now is to get rid of the proposed grandiose war memorials proposed for the Rond Terraces. Just another wank for self-important jerks that soak up valuable money for no good reason.
All that development in the city and hardly a single carpark.
We’re going to have to have a multi tens of billions of dollars spent on trains. (None of which feature in the plan).
