Native plant sale at the botanic gardens

A rare opportunity for all you gardeners out there has made its way onto facebook.

Location: Small carpark behind the Crosbie Morrison building, Australian National Botanic Gardens

More Info: Find unique plants for sale produced from cuttings and seeds of species from within the Gardens. Be early for best selection and bring a bag or box for your purchases. Plant list.

Time: 8.30am – 11:00am or until sold out
Cost: $3.00 and $5.00 each
Proceeds from the sale go the Friends of the Gardens to support Gardens programs and development.

Ok. Couldn’t find anything more recent for this event, so am posting here. I went along at 9.am and almost everything was already sold out. (Started at 8.30) Very disappointing. An event damaged by its own popularity. Don’t think I will bother again, obviously you have to arrive early, queue, and then race to get what you want. Sorry, I am not into ‘scrum shopping’.
