Is anyone else in North Canberra having trouble with Network Ten reception?
Neither Ten, ONE nor 11 are coming through properly and are pixelating badly. Last week reception was perfect. This week; awful.

All ABC channels at Tuggeranong went off the air during Lateline last night. It was one of the few times I actually wanted to hear what Benny Wong had to say.
This happens regularly and the ABC technicians claim there is a intermittent software fault. It’s been intermittent now for over 2 years which should make it a permanent one I guess.

Ten’s 3 channels are always dodgy here as well – and I live in the inner South. Since they are practically broke, maybe they are just cutting down on maintenance?
Southern Cross Ten, who broadcast as Ten in Canberra (as opposed to the company Channel Ten) are far from broke. Indeed they have been talking about buying channel 9 and leaving WIN to be the 10 affiliate.

No idea about Network 10 as don’t watch it, but all ABC channels totally non-existent this morning when looking for ABC for Kids.

The reception on Network TEN our TV in the kitchen (which uses an indoor antenna) is RS. It is a recent thing as noted by the original post. I’ve found that if I move the TV under the crockery cabinet it breaks up. If I move it further out it is OK unless you walk past it. On the same subject, I’ve found that black and white programs on the ABC also break up badly. I can’t connect the kitchen TV up to our outside antenna like the other TVs in the house because we put in a slate floor 20 years ago and cannot drill a hole to get to the antenna junction box under the house.
Depending on what sort of indoor antenna you’re using I’d suggest trying a powered one. They can be picked up at most electronics retailers for ~$20 – $40.
Worked a treat for TVs in my house (until I got a rooftop).

There’s only ever one answer to the “my reception was good now it’s bad” post. Check your equipment.
I agree. Used to work in an electronics retail store and 99% of people blamed everything else and believed it was never their equipment – turns out 99% of people ended up coming back to us a week later purchasing new equipment.
There’s only ever one answer to the “my reception was good now it’s bad” post. Check your equipment. Problems with tv reception on the other side are normally fixed very quickly, unless you live in the middle of nowhere.
