ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at an O’Connor chemist shop last night (Saturday, March 3).
The offender, wearing dark clothing and a stocking over his head, has entered the premises around 8.40pm and threatened staff with a knife.
He has taken a sum of money, placed it in a bag, and then ran out.
A crime scene was established at the location with General Duties patrols, Crime Investigations detectives, an SRS K9 unit, and AFP Forensic Services in attendance. The K9 team followed a trace scent to the nearby O’Connor ovals, but was unsuccessful in following it further.
Anyone who may have seen a male wearing dark clothing, carrying a bag, and acting suspiciously in the area of the O’Connor shops or the nearby oval around the time of the robbery is urged contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
