Furthering my belief that this March is Canberra’s retort to the ridiculous claim that nothing interesting ever happens here, the ANU have just sent me some info on a little thing they like to call Thinking Spaces.
Running nightly from 15-27 March, Thinking Spaces features large-scale light projections of archival photographs and films on many of the University’s most iconic buildings to celebrate moments of inspiration and discovery.
The festival will be launched on Friday 15 March from 6-9pm on the grounds of the Menzies Library. All are welcome and encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy some sunset jazz. The event will also feature night markets and prizes for those who share their favourite ANU memories and ideas, including an original Fred Ward desk valued at $1,500. The new ANU Commemorative Calendar will also be avilable for $5.
