A pizza driver was robbed at knifepoint last night (Saturday, January 28) as he was delivering pizzas in Hawker.
The 26-year-old Dominoes Pizza driver was dispatched about 11.50pm to deliver two pizzas to an address in Hawker. When he arrived at the address he realised that the street number provided did not exist.
The driver got out of his gold Ford Focus to try and locate the person/s who ordered the pizza. A short time later he was approached by two men, with one thrusting a knife towards his neck and the second person putting the knife towards his waist.
The men made off with two pizzas, a Dominoes “Hot Cell” Pizza Warmer and a small amount of cash.
The men are described as wearing black face masks, white “hoodies”, gloves and three quarter length shorts.
Anyone who may be able to assist police with the identity of these two men or who may have seen suspicious activity in the Hawker area about 11.50pm last night is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
