Hey Guys,
Just wondering if you can recommend some venues to play pool in the Belconnen area.
Hey Guys,
Just wondering if you can recommend some venues to play pool in the Belconnen area.
I’d say pretty much most pubs and clubs would have a pool table though saying that I don’t think Gungahlin Lakes does. Civic Pub has lots of pool tables, I know it’s not in Belco, just sayin…
The Pool Palace Upstairs in Manuka or Charletons up above Sails in Belconnen.
Tixylix: Southern Cross Woden still has three, the Burns Club still has two, and yes, the Canberra Club has a couple. Tradies in Disckson still do as well, I think.
Re: northside pool tables, Wests Jamison have a couple tables, although I heard last week that they’ve copped a bit of abuse lately and aren’t that great to play on.
Have a quick look here:

If you scroll down, you’ll get a venue listing, any venue listed has (at minimum) two tables which *should* be well maintained.
Your best bet is probably The Basement though – four tables, in great condition, with plenty of space around them, and excellent drinks prices. Plus live music, more often than not.
The Basement has four tables (which meet the 8-ball comp requirements) and cold beer.
Go a little bit further to Dickson Tradies…they still have a few full size snooker tables.
The Belco Labor Club, The Basement and the Page Tavern have a few tables
each.
