Point Hut Crossing closed by rising water. UPDATE, now open.

Territory and Municipal Services advises that rising water has closed Point Hut Crossing.

The ACT Government wishes to advise motorists and other road users that Point Hut Crossing has been closed due to rising waters.

Barriers are being erected to alert people to the closure.

The ACT Government apologises for the inconvenience.

LOL. JB, as much as I like the thought of ACT government pubes being replaced by an inanimate object such as water, I suspect what they meant was that rising water is the reason the road’s been closed, and it was probably TAMS that did the closing, not the water as you suggest 😉

The water was high and running quickly but it wasn’t closed as of 1pm 21 April – I just drove through it. The Tharwa to Cotter road is also open which made for a nice drive.
