Police call for witnesses after driver and his car found in Mount Ainslie gully

Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after a 20-year-old man and his car was found in a gully on Mount Ainslie on Sunday morning (10 February).

Around 7 am, members of the public walking past found the man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, in a gully near Mount Ainslie Drive.

Police believe the man lost control of his vehicle around a bend around midnight on Saturday night (9 February) and was not found till the following morning.

The man was transported to Canberra Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
