Police have raided locations across the ACT and NSW while investigating a double stabbing in Queanbeyan last month.

There had been reports of a brawl at a business in Crawford Street at about 1 pm on 8 August, Region has previously reported.

Police arrived and were told that two men, both believed to be in their 20s, had been taken to Queanbeyan Hospital with serious injuries.

“Early indications suggest the injured men were stabbed,” a police spokesperson said at the time.

One passerby described seeing what appeared to be a large amount of blood on the footpath outside a Crawford Street business after the incident.

NSW Police and ACT Policing then released a joint statement on Wednesday (3 September), in which they said Strike Force Flomore had been established to investigate the two stabbings.

A police spokesperson said following inquiries, police had conducted a number of search warrants in the Monaro and Hume Police Districts earlier on Wednesday.

They were assisted by Raptor Squad during these raids.

“Investigations are continuing,” a police spokesperson said.

More to come.
