ACT Policing is searching for a white sedan with NSW plates that they believe was involved in a hit and run earlier this month.

It’s believed the vehicle collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of Marcus Clarke Street and University Avenue in the City at about 7:50 pm on Thursday, 8 May.

Police said the sedan’s driver failed to stop and help the motorcyclist, instead continuing along University Avenue and Childers Street.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated the 22-year-old male motorcyclist before he was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

ACT Policing has put out the call for witnesses or dashcam footage of the crash.

They’re particularly interested in footage of the white sedan, which may have had a NSW registration plate beginning with EMF.

Anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 8043855.
