The man had allegedly been detected travelling at 171 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

He was immediately suspended from driving for three months and his vehicle seized. He will be issued a summons to attend the ACT Magistrates Court.

At about 10 pm that night, police saw a Holden Cruze being driven across a nature strip to allegedly avoid officers on Belconnen Way in Aranda.

Officers stopped the car driven by a 32-year-old man whose licence was disqualified in Queensland.

The man was transported to City Police Station where he allegedly returned a breath analysis of 0.125.

He was arrested and scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday (29 May), charged with drink driving, driving while disqualified and driving on a nature strip.
