Anyone know of somewhere where I could take the 15 year old for a quiet game of afternoon pool or snooker in the inner south?
Preferably not a biker hangout, if possible!

Try FELT in Franklin street Manuka. I think they only just opened, about 8 tables, nice atmosphere and a bit more fancy than the Kingo or Statesman. Open around 5pm and they even do cocktails.
Thanks for the ideas folks- ended up at the Kingo which was fine- 6 tables, but one had a dodgy ball return.
Junior and I had a nice couple of hours- next time I might even let him win a game!
The Maram is quite pleasant from 3pm-9pm or so and tables are plentiful.
The Maram! yeah sure, deep south? last time I was there, “trying to find a suitable establishment for a public hanging” , I had the joys of seeing a live and in living color bourbon and coke projectile vomit show ! PASS. The Kingston hotel is fine during the day and if later at night don’t look the bikies in the eye. Felt is open from 5 most days in maunka.
Try the Statesman in Curtin. They have 2 pools tables. Quiet folk, mostly trades people, busiest after 3:00pm and cheap beer.
You can always try The Maram in Erindale, while it can get a bit rough after 9pm they have a pool hall and pool comps every Thursday…
Felt has just opened up in manuka. might be worth a look. its on fernaux st
Kingston Hotel definitely has at least 6 tables, maybe 8, and is still a good place to hang out, cook yourself a steak, knock a couple back. Fifteen year old is likely to think you’re a legend for taking him down the pub too.
Southern-X club has at least snooker tables, I think they might have pool in there somewhere too. Tradies club used to aswell.
I thought I remembered the RUC in Barton having pool tables, but I could be wrong. The Kingo and the Italo-Australian Club might also be worth a try.
