Ardeche is only nominally French – Modern French, I suppose. If I wanted classic French, I’d go to Christophe’s.

How about a little analysis of the food – beyond “tasty”.

As for Gus’ – bleah. Yeah, the staff are sexy, but God forbid they’d do something demeaning like…say…serve a customer…

Thumper gets the nail on the head award. I wasn’t aware that “spunk” was a recognised term of reference for restaurant reviews. Using it repeatedly will not make it catch on either.

I’ve had some great dinners at Ardeche too. One really good new year’s eve. I’ll tell you though – when you’ve had a fair few champagnes, those restaurants where all the glass walls look like doors are a bit of a worry…..

Interesting she mentions the good-looking staff in her reviews of four of her five new hot places. Just saying.
