ACT Policing are investigating an aggravated robbery at the Florey shops this morning (Friday, July 1).
About 11.15am today, a security guard was robbed of a sum of money by two men armed with weapons. The offenders then fled the area towards Evatt.
Police cordoned off the area and a short time later two males were taken into custody. The two men are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Acting Sergeant David Wills from the Belconnen Police Station said the public played an important role in assisting police locate the two males.
“Police received numerous calls after the robbery which greatly assisted with this investigation,” he said.
